Agury’s machine health solutions to cover manufacturing support equipment



Israeli-American mechanical diagnostics company Augury announced its latest solution Machine health for support equipment (MH SE), which covers the majority of rotating assets, reducing downtime and increasing capacity.

Machine Health uses IOT and AI to predict and prevent machine failures and improve machine performance. The new solution joins the existing one from Augury Machine health for critical assets (MH CR), which is based on of Augur diagnostic capabilities and expertise to diagnose the most complex and critical rotating equipment malfunctions, where unexpected failures can lead to production downtime and have a significant business impact.

A company statement said support equipment accounts for more than 60% of an average manufacturer’s rotating asset base. While failure of support equipment does not necessarily lead to catastrophic unplanned downtime, most manufacturers still have machines on a fixed preventive maintenance schedule, consuming a significant portion of the maintenance budget and reliability of a plant.

MH SE improves maintenance planning and reduces maintenance and reliability costs by eliminating unnecessary maintenance tasks and reducing spare parts inventories. For manufacturers facing severe labor shortages, especially skilled service technicians, MH SE guides teams to the equipment that needs the most maintenance, while telling them what to fix. and how to fix it, helping overworked maintenance teams do more with less.

Augury’s customers include some of the world’s largest manufacturers. Several Augury customers, including Colgate-Palmolive, Hershey and Nestlé Osem, are already running pilot programs with MH SE. The solution will be available to all customers by the second quarter of 2022.
