BTD Manufacturing, a metal fabrication company headquartered in Detroit Lakes, recently acquired an additional 40,000 square feet to expand its production facility in Lakeville, Minnesota. The expansion allows BTD to expand its capacity and introduce new technologies and capabilities.
“We have made significant investments in our equipment and facilities over the past year,” said Paul Gintner, president of BTD Manufacturing, in a recent press release. “We are excited to be able to evolve with the changing needs of our customers, so that we can continue to provide the high quality hardware that they know us for. “

BTD Manufacturing has added a variety of equipment to its four locations, including new fiber plate and tube lasers, press brakes, robotic welders and tube benders.
The additional space at Lakeville plays a central role in expanding BTD’s stamping capabilities. It also helps the company improve its manufacturing capacity, allowing it to focus on increasing machine availability and expanding its automation offerings in the market.
“Market conditions are strong for custom metal fabrication,” said Gintner. “Continuing to improve our range of equipment and expand our offerings ensures that we are ready for it. “
Named second on The Fabricator’s FAB 40 list in 2021, BTD employs more than 1,300 people at four sites in Minnesota, Georgia and Illinois.
