GlobalFoundries GlobalGives Holiday Giveaway Campaign Raises $ 25,000 for Vermont Food Bank

Vermont Business Magazine Nothing is more important to GlobalFoundries Inc (GF) than the safety and well-being of our global team, their families and their communities. Just as our feature-rich semiconductor chips enable technological innovation, as a company we aim to be a catalyst to generate positive social impact at home and around the world.

On behalf of their generous employees at Fab 9 (Essex Junction, Vermont), GF donated a total of $ 25,000 to the Vermont Foodbank. This happy result is the result of our GlobalFoundries GlobalGives holiday gift campaign.

GF would like to thank the Vermont Food Bank for the essential services it provides throughout the year. This organization cares for so many people in our community, especially at times like these. We know that in these difficult times their mission is more important than ever as they work to help those in need. We hope this donation will help alleviate the cost of meeting some of the needs of our community this holiday season.

GlobalGives is our global GF program of employee and company-led initiatives around philanthropy, giving, social justice, disaster relief, environmental protection, volunteerism and charity. promotion of STEM education. Each of our locations has well-established programs and teams dedicated to enriching the lives of local citizens, and we are very proud of their long history of community engagement and service.

Additionally, in December, our employee resource group GF Burlington GlobalWomen hosted a “Adopt a girl” event in collaboration with the Salvation Army. The team made some wishes come true from our adopted daughters in need in our community and donated many more essentials and items.

In addition, the collective team GF Fab 9 donated 2,400 pounds of food to the community through our Fab 9 Holiday Food Drive.
