Telford-based LVS Small Plastic Parts Ltd, one of the leaders in the European plastic injection molding market, is looking for new engineering apprentices.
The company, which has been in existence since 1975, will work alongside the Shrewsbury Colleges Group to provide these opportunities.
LVS specializes in providing a ‘one stop shop’ for high quality plastic products for various applications, particularly in the automotive industry, working with some of the world’s most prestigious brands to meet their specific needs. .
It manages the entire process – from conception, conception and prototypes to production of the tooling needed to make the molds to operate the 35 injection molding machines it has on site.
Richard Morris, Director of Operations at LVS, said: “We are looking to develop our future engineers with the right attitude and desire, working alongside Shrewsbury College, to ensure that a succession plan is in place to do so. move the business forward with new thoughts and ideas.
“This is an opportunity to work on some of the latest technologies in injection molding, ranging from robotics to 3D printing. LVS has its own tool room with the latest CNC equipment and also has its own metrology laboratory with 3D scanning and printing equipment.
“Our goal is to train versatile engineers with a comprehensive understanding of the business. “
