Construction Project Challenges Solved with BIM Engineering Services in USA

Through Revit BIM modeling, we streamlined the process of managing project information, including document control, resolution of design issues, and conflict coordination between MEPFP services.

DC, WASHINGTON, USA, July 12, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Tejjy Inc. – One of America’s Top BIM Consultants Solves Construction Project Challenges Using Building Information Modeling Technology (BIM). The business owned by women who are DBE / MBE certified in DC meets the fast schedule of MEP engineers, structural engineers, contractors, architects and other construction professionals. As an architecture, engineering, construction management and BIM services firm in the United States, Tejjy Inc. serves various fields in DC, MD, Virginia, Baltimore, New Jersey, New York, Richmond, etc. Thanks to an extensive network of clients, Tejjy has successfully executed over 2,500 projects in the United States.

Sukh Singh, Vice President of Tejjy Inc. said, “Our BIM engineers collaborate with clients and other stakeholders involved in the process to solve the challenges of the construction project. Some of our landmark BIM projects where we have successfully addressed challenges with BIM include the US Army Corporation of Engineers’ Medical Facilities Support Services (MFSS II), the DC Courthouse, the expansion of the Northeast Houston Water Purification Plant, BIM Architectural Model for Religious Building in USA, Signal House Project, Washington DC, USA, Laser Scanning for BIM Project in Baltimore, USA and many others.

Regarding the Medical Facility Support Services (MFSS II) of the US Army Corporation of Engineers, a senior BIM engineer from Tejjy Inc. said, “In this BIM project, we encountered problems because the information was provided in 2D format. . Our BIM engineers created an exact 3D BIM model (LOD 350) for the MEPFP trades with the information available from the customer. Revit BIM modeling enabled seamless collaboration with stakeholders, minimizing errors and improving building performance. Through Revit BIM modeling, we have streamlined the process of managing project information, including document control, resolution of design issues, and coordination of conflicts between MEPFP services.

Regarding the DC Courthouse project, a Senior Project Manager, Tejjy Inc. said, “Members of our Building Information Modeling team faced some coordination issues in this MEP project. Coordination between the services involved in this project was difficult as the structure did not allow any service to pass through the concrete beam or wall unless it had been designed at the design development stage. Our BIM modelers ensured that the pipes and ducts could pass through the cutouts in the walls and the space available for MEP services through the routes designed with the least impact on existing services. We did this by moving and changing service routes, taking into account the clearance needed, and changing the sizes of pipes and ducts within acceptable limits.

Sukh added that the expansion of the Northeast Water Purification Plant in Houston is another successful Tejjy Inc. project. coordination of pipes and processing equipment. Our BIM engineers have developed a standard for performing manufacturing work. We detected pipe conflicts in the pump room using a 3D BIM model and processed the equipment with the pipe. Using BIM Constructability Review, we found that the line and pinch valve were not updated in the model and did not have enough space.

A senior BIM consultant for an architectural religious building project in the United States explained, “We were faced with minor issues related to the topography. It was difficult for us to get the topographic elevation labels of the surrounding areas. Our BIM engineers sent different sections of the architectural project to the client. We have provided a contoured survey to visualize the terrain accurately, defining the ground and the boundaries. Using 3D BIM modeling, we solved the stair problem, where it collided with the slab.
