Unitherm Cemcon appoints new Managing Director

Unitherm Cemcon has announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Pachler as Managing Director. Robert Pachler succeeded Alexander Lederer and assumed his role in January 2022. Mr. Lederer took up his new role as Managing Director at Unitherm Holding, taking charge of strategic decisions.

Prior to joining Unitherm Cemcon, Robert Pachler led the coordination of operations at the largest waste-to-energy plant in Austria, operated by Wien Energie GmbH.

Prior to this, Mr. Pachler worked as process and production manager for two rotary kiln lines at the same plant, where he managed to take a major step towards energy efficiency and decarbonization of both kilns.

Previously, he worked for five years as a scientific project manager for the Vienna University of Technology in the automotive and energy sector with AVL List GmbH, Audi Engine Development Center Györ as well as BMW Diesel Engine Department Steyr in the field of combustion. modelling, simulation of exhaust after-treatment and carbon capture and storage/utilization.

Mr. Pachler will guide the organization in its mission to strengthen the technological leadership position in the field of cooking systems for the cement, lime and minerals industry with an emphasis on decarbonization, development based on models and digitization.
